17 FREDERICTON POLICE FORCE FORCE POLICIÈRE DE FREDERICTON The Fredericton Police Force has made a significant developmental upgrade to their Explosive Disposal Unit by purchasing a new ICOR bomb robot, as well as a new bomb suit. Both items represent a significant investment (over $200,000) from the city, to upgrade the capabilities of this unit. Officers train on a regular basis with their partners in the RCMP EDU team, to ensure interoperability for both the city of Fredericton and surrounding communities. They are also looking to expand their training to include explosive forced entry, to assist with Emergency Response Teams in the near future.
