Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carleton-York – in partnership with the Woodstock Police Force and the Woodstock Fire Department – hosted a Kids-n-Kops day on Wednesday, July 9/14. The program is designed to allow unmatched children in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and police officers to interact in a positive and meaningful way. The Kids-n-Kops program’s goals are to promote trust between law enforcement and children, foster a realistic concept of police officers, provide increased service to the children on the agency’s waiting list for the Big Brother or Big Sister, and provide contact with adult role models.
